Each box costs $300

The breakdown is approximately $200 in raw materials: The wooden box, the photogrammetry software, the 3d printing, the miniature furniture, paints and wood stain, media player, and SD card.

Approximately $100 in time and labor: Traveling to your loved one to record their memories, 3d scanning them, customizing the miniature furniture, staining the wooden box, and assembly.
Our
Story
My name is Issa Dyson, and I created Issa Granny Box.
The name combines my name with my grandmother, because she inspired this business.
She fell ill Spring of 2024. I came up with an idea to keep her voice and image close to me. I decided to make an art project that would capture those 2 things.

We sell 10x14x6" stained wooden boxes. Inside is a 3d printed figurine of your loved one, a set of mini furniture to mimic a room, a small speaker that plays recorded messages/memories from the loved one, and a booklet with the transcript of what the loved one said.

The voice recordings are done by me, if you provide the location of the loved one. I will go to them with a microphone, whether it be a home residence, hospital, or retirement home in Wake County, NC.
Or you can record their memories yourself and sent them to me.
